The IPTGSA is offering the inaugural opportunity to gain practical experience on cross border guiding on a rare chance to gain experience on the touristic route from Vic Falls (Zimbabwe) through Chobe Namibia to Cape town .
This trip will be led by a member of the IPTGSA with decades of valuable guiding experience on this route and impart valuable information by doing whistle-stop visits to the tourist attractions on the route .
It is geared for experienced guides that would like to enlarge their scope of knowledge and widen their route capability in the SDAC region.
The trip starts at Vic Falls on Friday 4 November 2016 and goes along the following routing
Vic Falls Zimbabwe ,Kasane and Chobe Botswana ,Katima Mulilo , TransCaprivi highway , Rundu,Grootfontein,Tsumeb, Trans Etosha ,Outio,Twyfelfontein, Skeleton coast national park, Cape Cross , Swakopmund and Walvisbay, Okahandja Windhoek, Keetmanshoop, Fish river canyon ,Vioolsdrift Noordoewer, Springbok to Cape town on the 11 November 2016.
This educational/practical trip is not a holiday but loaded with opportunities for , been there, done that , got the t shirt .
The Institute or any individual does not financially gain from this trip but those taking it gain enormous experience and confidence on this route.
Accommodation is based on sharing rooms in moderate accommodation on a B +B basis .Dinners and lunches are for own cost but will be arranged on consensus of the group.
